The adult app the app stores won't carry

Google Play and the App Store don't allow porn apps, which is why most adult sites never get further than a bookmark. Bold installs straight from your browser instead. Same feed, same creators, same swipe. It just lives on your home screen now, and it taps you on the shoulder when something actually matters.

Install the app. 18+ only, and we mean it.

Android

Download the APK

About 2 MB. Signed by Bold. No Play Store account needed.

If the Install button doesn't show up, open this page in Chrome, or grab the APK.

  2. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Open Bold from your home screen and turn on notifications.

Notifications need iOS 16.4 or newer, and they only work when you open Bold from the home screen icon.

What changes when Bold is on your home screen

Pings that are worth it

A message lands, someone new follows you, a creator you follow drops a post. You hear about it. We cap post alerts at a few a day, so your phone doesn't turn into a slot machine.

Swipe like you mean it

The feed has weight to it. Flick through clips, drag a page away to go back, pull comments up from the bottom. It's the same gesture set as the site, running full screen with no browser bars in the way.

You never update it

There's nothing to download when we ship something new. The app checks quietly in the background and picks up the latest version the next time you move between pages.

Discreet when you need it

No store listing in your account history. Turn on discreet alerts and your lock screen only says there's something new on Bold. No names, no previews.

Tiny on purpose

Around 2 MB. Most social apps want a few hundred. Bold barely touches your storage.

Your account, everywhere

Log in once. Follows, saved posts, messages and subscriptions are exactly where you left them on the web.

So why isn't there a Play Store link?

Apple and Google both ban sexual content from their stores. That's their call to make. It's also why every adult creator community ends up living inside a browser tab, losing fans every time someone forgets the URL.

We didn't want Bold to be a tab. So we built it as a progressive web app, the same technology big social networks use for their lite apps, and packaged it for Android so you can install it directly. Nobody sits on our updates for two weeks. Nobody takes a 30% cut of what fans pay creators. And nobody can pull it off your phone because a reviewer had a bad day.

An adult social media app that's actually social

Most adult sites are a wall of thumbnails. Bold works like a social network. You follow people, they follow you back, you comment, you rebold the posts you love, and the feed figures out what you're into without you having to explain yourself.

That's the whole point of an 18+ social media app: real people, real conversations, and an adult community that doesn't feel like a vending machine. Every creator you see on public pages has passed an ID check, so the faces are real too.

Built for the adult creator community

If you make content, the app is where your regulars live. When you post, followers who turned on alerts hear about it within minutes. Your DMs reach their lock screen instead of an inbox they check twice a week.

We think of Bold as a creator adult community first and a website second. Discovery is built in, so new fans find you through tags, rankings and the For You feed, not only through links you post somewhere else.

Questions people ask

Is the Bold app free?

Yes. Installing costs nothing and so does browsing. You only pay if you choose to subscribe to a creator or unlock a post, exactly like on the website.

Why isn't Bold on Google Play or the App Store?

Both stores ban adult content, so no porn app or adult app can be listed there, ours included. On Android you install Bold straight from your browser or from our signed APK. On iPhone, Safari adds it to your home screen in a couple of taps.

Is the APK safe to install?

It's signed with Bold's own key and it only ever opens bold18.com. The first time, Android asks you to allow installs from your browser. That's normal for any app that lives outside the Play Store. If you'd rather skip that step, tap Install on Android and Chrome sets everything up for you.

Does it work on iPhone?

Yes. Open bold18.com in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Notifications work on iOS 16.4 and newer once you open Bold from the home screen icon.

Which notifications will I get?

Four kinds, and you can switch each one off in Settings: new messages, new followers, new posts from creators you follow (a few a day at most), and the occasional nudge if you haven't stopped by in a while. Discreet alerts keep names and previews off your lock screen.

Do I ever need to update it?

No. Everything we ship reaches the app on its own. There's no update button and nothing to download.

Is there an app adult creators can post from?

This is it. Everything you can do on the website works in the app too: post photos and clips, answer DMs, check your stats and run your page.

Who can join?

Adults only. Bold is an 18+ app, and creators verify their age with a government ID before they can post.

Your feed, minus the browser tab.

Takes about ten seconds. Works on the phone you already have.
