Strip Blackjack

Beat the dealer. Keep your clothes.

Blackjack with the oldest side bet in the book. Same honest dealer, same server-dealt shoe, but the table plays in strip mode: when your chips run dry, you trade a layer of clothing for a fresh stack and stay in the game.

Why players keep coming back

Honest dealer A server-dealt 4-deck shoe, shuffled with a cryptographic RNG. Nobody can peek at the hole card.
Five layers to lose Run out of chips and a layer of clothing buys you 250 more. Five layers, then you are out.
Solo or six seats Learn the rhythm alone against the dealer, or open a table for up to six players.
Last one dressed wins When the table closes, the richest seat still standing takes the win.

Everyone at the table gets 500 chips and five layers to burn through. When the table closes, the richest seat still standing wins. Play it solo against the dealer to learn the rhythm, or bring a room of up to six and watch whose bankroll outlasts whose wardrobe.

Server-authoritative hands, a finish line that always arrives, and nothing to download. 18+ only, obviously.

Strip Blackjack rules

Objective

Finish each hand closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. Over the whole session, keep enough chips (and clothes) to stay at the table. When the table closes, the seat with the most chips wins.

Card values

  • Number cards 2 to 10 count their face value. Jack, Queen and King count 10.
  • An Ace counts 11, or 1 when 11 would take the hand over 21.
  • An Ace plus any ten-value card as your first two cards is a blackjack (a natural).

Setup

  • The shoe holds four standard 52-card decks, shuffled by the server. It is rebuilt whenever fewer than 52 cards remain between hands.
  • Each seat starts with 500 table chips and five clothing layers. The minimum bet is 10 chips.
  • Every seat bets at the same time. Once all bets are in, each seat and the dealer get two cards. The dealer shows one card; the second stays face down.

Your options on a hand

  • Hit: take another card. You can keep hitting until you stand or go over 21.
  • Stand: keep your total and end your turn.
  • Double: on your first two cards, double your bet, take exactly one more card, and stand.
  • Split: when your first two cards share a value (any two ten-value cards count), add a second equal bet and play them as two hands. You can split up to four hands. Split Aces receive one card each and stand, and a split Ace plus a ten counts as 21, not blackjack.
  • Surrender: on your first decision of an unsplit, undoubled hand, fold and get half your bet back.

Insurance and the dealer peek

  • When the dealer shows an Ace, every seat is offered insurance: a side bet of half your stake that pays 2 to 1 if the dealer has blackjack.
  • When the dealer shows a ten-value card and holds blackjack, the hand ends at once before anyone plays.

How the dealer plays

  • The dealer draws until reaching 17 or more, then stands. The dealer stands on every 17, soft or hard.
  • If every live hand has already busted, surrendered or made blackjack, the dealer does not draw.

Strip mode

  • Between hands, a seat holding fewer chips than the 10-chip minimum may rebuy: one clothing layer for 250 chips.
  • Every seat has five layers. A seat that is broke with no layers left leaves the table.
  • The table closes when the last seat leaves, when the hand limit you chose is reached, or when the host ends it. The seat with the most chips wins; equal stacks make it a draw.

Lobbies, turns and timers

  • Open a lobby, choose your options, then share the invite link or the 8-character room code. Invite-only lobbies stay closed to anyone you did not invite.
  • Bets have a 2-minute window and each decision a 45-second clock. An idle hand stands. An idle bettor posts the minimum at strip tables and sits out at banked tables, so nobody spends Boldscore while away.
  • Leave whenever you like. The host can end the match at any point, and a finished lobby reopens with the same seats for a rematch.

Fair play

  • Every rule is enforced on the server. Your browser only sends what you chose; the server decides if it was legal and what happens next.
  • Hidden information (hole cards, the deck, the dealer card) never reaches another player's device.

Strategy and tips

  1. Stand on hard 17 or higher. Hitting there busts far more often than it helps.
  2. Always split Aces and 8s. Never split 10s or 5s.
  3. Double on 11 against any dealer card except an Ace. Double on 10 against a dealer 2 to 9.
  4. Skip insurance unless you are counting. It is a side bet the house wins over time.
  5. Bet small early. A layer is worth 250 chips, so a smaller bet buys more hands before you strip.

Strip Blackjack FAQ

How does strip blackjack work online?

It is real blackjack against a server dealer. Each player starts with 500 chips and five layers. When your stack drops below the 10-chip minimum, you can trade one layer for 250 new chips between hands. Run out of chips with no layers left and you are out.

Can I play strip blackjack alone?

Yes. Choose Solo when you open the table and you play one seat against the dealer. Add up to five more players any time you want company.

Is the dealer rigged?

No. The shoe is four decks shuffled on the server with a cryptographic random generator, the dealer follows fixed rules (stand on all 17s), and the hole card never reaches any browser until the hand settles.

Do I bet real money?

No. Strip tables use table chips that exist only for that table. Turn strip mode off for banked Blackjack, where bets and payouts move your Boldscore.

What happens if someone disconnects?

The turn clock keeps the table moving. An idle hand stands automatically and an idle bettor posts the table minimum, so one dropped connection never freezes the game.

Is strip blackjack free?

Yes, free in your browser with a free Bold account. No download needed.
