Be the first to line up four of your discs in a row: horizontally, vertically or diagonally. Win the most rounds to take the series.

The board has 7 columns and 6 rows. Players alternate turns; the opening drop alternates every round.
On your turn, choose a column that is not full. Your disc drops to the lowest empty slot.
If all 42 slots fill with no line of four, the round is a draw.

A match is a series. Connect Four defaults to best of three. You can pick a single game or best of 3, 5 or 7 when you open the lobby. The first player to win a majority of rounds takes it.
The opening move alternates every round. Drawn rounds score nobody, and a series that keeps drawing ends after twice its length.
Between rounds there is a short break, then the next round deals on its own. Tap Next round to skip ahead.
Resigning concedes the whole series. When it ends, either player can call a rematch; once both accept, a new series deals with the seats swapped.
Every series counts toward your all-time head to head against that player, your win streak in that game, and your rank: Rookie, Contender, Hustler, Shark, Kingpin, Legend.

Open a lobby, choose your options, then share the invite link or the 8-character room code. Invite-only lobbies stay closed to anyone you did not invite.
Every move runs on a 45-second clock. Let it lapse and you forfeit the game, so stay on the board.
Leave whenever you like. The host can end the match at any point, and a finished lobby reopens with the same seats for a rematch.

When you open the lobby you can play free or set a stake from 10 to 1,000 Bold Points per player.
Stakes are held in escrow when the match starts. The winner takes the pot; a draw or an aborted match returns every stake.
Stake winnings are capped at 5,000 Bold Points per member per day.

Take the center column early. It belongs to the most possible lines.
Build threats that stack: two possible fours, one on top of the other, cannot both be blocked.
Before dropping, check whether your disc lets your opponent win in the slot above it.
